1974 Spool Knitting Patterns for Kids

Found this in a vintage Australian magazine - Woman's World -
October 16, 1974

Something for the children to make! ... and I hope
that they can use these ideas for more of their own,
like adding extra touches or embellishments.

Thats interesting!
I once blogged about my knitting spool. Earlier this year I managed to find a mint condition one like the one I had as a child! http://kcscourt.blogspot.com/2011/03/memories.html

Hi! I've just found your blog via google and an fascinated! I have a Spears Knitting Nancy and a Spears Knitting Ring from mid to late 1970's, no longer boxed but I still have the instructions ... I used to make yards and yards then not know what to do with it all! I've been teaching my own children to do French Knitting and we've just started with Knifty Knitters which are a larger version of the little Spears Knitting Ring ...!
